The Role

You’ll be our Technical Sales Manager for Ingredients (f/m/x), the person who will actively drive our commercial growth phase following an extremely successful debut at a trade show. In this role, you’ll serve as the crucial link between our lab team and buyers from leading supplement brands and contract manufacturers. If you bring the rare combination of deep technical understanding, enthusiasm for scientifically sound raw materials, and genuine sales drive to turn hot leads into long-term partnerships, then you’re a perfect fit for us.

Who you work with

You'll work closely every day with our growing team, leads, and customers around the world. Short lines of communication, direct interaction. Internally, you'll report directly to management.

Your mission

  • You will expand our entire sales funnel and develop it into a sales system based on data-driven decisions and automation. 
  • You will be responsible for systematically following up on, qualifying, and successfully closing the high-demand leads generated by our past and future trade show appearances and communication activities.
  • You will identify and acquire key accounts (brand owners, contract manufacturers/CMOs, FMCG companies) in the international market and build a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • You will advise product developers and R&D departments on an equal footing regarding the technological advantages and application possibilities of our ingredients.
  • You will support our customers throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial contact to customer retention. 
  • You will translate scientific data and study results from our R&D team into compelling commercial arguments for our customers’ marketing and procurement departments.
  • You will maintain our CRM system in a data-driven manner and work closely with R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and management to precisely meet customer requirements.

Your profile

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a natural science or technical field (e.g., food technology, nutrition science, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry, business administration with a focus on life sciences) or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years (2–4 years) of professional experience in B2B sales, key account management, or business development in the raw materials, supplements, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • A deep understanding of products that require explanation, as well as the ability to present complex technological and scientific concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and building relationships with R&D teams, quality management, and procurement.
  • A structured, proactive, and results-oriented approach to work, with the perseverance needed to successfully see projects through to completion over the course of several months.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site client visits and international trade shows.
  • Fluency in English (at least C1 level) in both spoken and written communication; knowledge of other European languages, especially German, is a plus.
